Drivers need to be 25 to hire one of our vans. You will have to have a full driving licence to drive an automatic and have no more than 6 points on your licence.
Yes we offer full AA Breakdown and Roadside Recovery. However, our vans are painstakingly maintained and they are very new. So you should not have any problems. But if you do, rest assured that we have you covered.
Yes many of Van Glorious’ customers have gone to Europe. We offer European Insurance cover and provide a European Travel Pack which will make your journey on the continent really enjoyable. Any paperwork required will be completed by our Admin team, with your input, and provided for the specific countries you will be travelling through.
VW California Ocean camper vans seat 4 and sleep 4 in comfort in standard configuration. At Van Glorious our customers can hire a 5th chair which can be fitted and removed from the van. This would be perfect for a 5th person to go on your journey. Please contact us for more information about this option.
Yes here at Vanglorious we welcome friendly and well behaved dogs. We charge £45 for a dog valet when you take your dog. Please see these sections about our pet policy.
Absolutely! At Vanglorious most of our customers have an idea of where they would like to go, but please feel free to discuss any itinerary requirements with us. We can help with routes and suggest some sites too. Check out our blogs for some ideas.
Our HQ is at Long Bennington Business Park, which is situated on the A1 near Newark. The Business Park is at the end of the slip road of the A1. You are welcome to leave your vehicle with us for the duration of your hire, the site is secured and has CCTV coverage.
We also have satellite offices in Nottingham and Yorkshire. Please contact us to arrange this additional option.
At Vanglorious the vans come fully supplied with kitchen and dining equipment, gas for the cooker, water for the sink and a full tank of fuel. (The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel please). Insurance, breakdown cover and unlimited mileage is also included in the hire price. We supply a basic cleaning kit, (tea towels, sponge and washing up liquid). There is also a set of levelling chocks supplied with each vehicle. A 10 metre electric hook up cable is provided as standard. This cable works in the UK and most campsites on the continent. Check out further information about the camper vans here.
Everything you need to provide on the day will be confirmed at the time of booking.
When you collect your VanGlorious Campervan, we require:
– your original driving licence (paper copies will not be accepted I’m afraid).
– 2 documents (utility bills/bank statements etc) dated within the last 3 months, which show your name and address as shown on your driving licence.
– We are required to take a £750 refundable security deposit when you take your vehicle. This must be taken from a bank card, as is stipulated by the insurance company. This will be refunded within 48 hours after you have returned your vehicle (and any additional equipment you have rented) in the condition it was hired to you.
We have an extensive list of ‘Add-Ons’ that you can hire with your vehicle. These include Drive away awning, 4 x bike rack, roof box, Cobb bbq kitchen, and much more.

Yes, but we keep any company names to a minimum, allowing you to blend in with the community.
In addition to a full handover of your van when you collect it, (covering the Campervan layout, the controls, appliances, equipment etc), we will provide digital guides via email before you collect your vehicle, and of course we are available to answer any questions you may have, at any time.
The VW Californias use diesel fuel and are all automatic.
Since Covid-19, we no longer supply bedding.
All our vehicles are non-smoking.
Yes, you can take your dog. (Subject to a few rules and a valet charge).
There is a USB charging port in the drivers area, this works when the ignition is on.
There is a 3 pin socket in the main cabin. This socket only works when the van is using a hook up connection.
The VW California is approx 5 metres long, 2 metres high and 2 metres wide.
If minimal electrics (lights, radio etc), are being used in the van, the fridge will work for approx 72 hours, off grid, at a reasonably low temperature.
